THE FATHER'S PRIDE

THE FATHER'S PRIDE

February 17th, 2001

We have God's life in us now; He has brought us to His realm of life. We are not ashamed to call Him Father (Romans 8:15). In fact, the Bible declares that as He is so are we in this world! (1 John 4:17). God had only one begotten Son, but now, Jesus is no longer the only begotten, but, the first begotten, because we are now His brothers and sisters. Our heavenly Father is proud that He has many children who love Him. You are His cherished treasure; you were "Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. And you, being deadin your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;" (Colossians 2:12,13). You don't have to feel inferior in the presence of God anymore; you are accepted and loved by the Father, just the same way He loves Jesus. God calls you His peculiar treasure (Exodus 19:5,6); the apple of His eye (Zechariah 2:8). You are special to Him, He delights in you (Deuteronomy 7:6). You need always to see yourself the way God sees you. Never measure your importance by the way people treat you; measure your importance with the price that was paid to save you: the blood of God's Son - Jesus.
