HANG ON!

HANG ON!

May 20th, 2005

Is there a situation in your life which seems to be so overwhelming for you? I want to encourage you to be strong and hang on. You may have messed things up but don't let it dominate you. Get up from the ashes of yesterday's failure, and set your gaze on your glorious future. God is not the God of yesterday, He is the ‘I AM.' Your past shouldn't be your master or your limitation. The fact you're reading this devotional today is enough proof that God is on your case. So, cheer up! As long as you keep on crying over your mistakes or hurt, you're giving room to the devil to plunder your life and keep you defeated. Declare to yourself that the failures and mistakes of yesterday won't defeat you today. You may have been helping many people, yet no one helped you when you needed it. Now, you have made up your mind to stop helping people as you used to. I urge you to keep at it instead, for God is going to reward you for every good thing that you've done. You may be in some heat right now, trying so hard to make ends meet, and it's as though you're just barely getting by. Don't give up, help is on the way. The temptation to steal or get into some kind of fraudulent practice might seem too much for you to resist right now. Don't give up your beautiful principle and well-earned character. Wait on the Lord. You were born for a purpose and a reason. The Holy Spirit is in you to help overcome every unfavourable or discomfiting situation. He'll ensure everything works out for your good. Wherever you are right now, I want you to lift your hands toward Heaven and thank Him for His mighty deliverance.

Confession
