WALK AWAY FREE!

WALK AWAY FREE!

August 4th, 2005

Have you ever wondered why the new creation is so unique and special? It's because he is born of the Spirit of God; in other words, the life of God is in him. No wonder he can't be poor, bound, destroyed or diseased. This is the kind of life that you have inside you. What a life we have in Christ Jesus! The reason some Christians suffer and are in pains is that they are ignorant of their rights and privileges in the Word. In 1 Chronicles 16:15, David gave a very important admonition to the children of Israel; "Be ye mindful always of his covenant…" but many of them didn't heed this warning and as a result they continued to suffer. Several years later, Jesus, the Son of God, was in the Synagogue teaching the people about the Kingdom of God and a woman, who was bowed over, came in. Jesus called her and announced to her, "…Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity" (Luke 13:12) and she was immediately healed. Jesus didn't need to pray for her to be healed since she could have easily walked away free from this dilapidating disease as she was a daughter of Abraham. If she had been mindful of the Abrahamic covenant she would have known that she was an heir to its blessings (Luke 13:16). She however suffered in that condition for eighteen long years. According to the Bible, the new creation is the product of "…a better covenant, which was established upon better promises" (Hebrews 8:6). Hallelujah! This new covenant was cut in the blood of our Lord Jesus. That means you're not ordinary; you're a child of the King. You are therefore free from whatever is binding you, by the blood of Jesus. You can walk away free from anything you don't like in your life. Walk away from that sickness, joblessness, poverty, bad habit and sin today. You are unquestionably and forever free! You must learn to reign in life through this new covenant. Remember that we have a new High Priest, Jesus Christ the righteous. If you call upon Him, He'll answer.

Confession

Dear heavenly Father, I thank you for opening my eyes and enlightening my understanding in your Word by your Spirit through which I'm able to stand fast in the liberty which I have in Christ. I refuse to be hampered, held ensnared and submit to any yoke of the enemy. I walk in the light of the new covenant in the Name of Jesus, Amen. FOR
