STUDY THE MANUAL FOR LIFE

STUDY THE MANUAL FOR LIFE

September 3rd, 2005

Faith is confidence in the Word of God, and you can develop such confidence when you spend more time studying your Bible. You'll become more enlightened on the tools the Lord has given you to take charge of your life. Recently, I was given a special gadget as a gift. Someone volunteered to put me through its operation but I declined. I reckoned that since it came with its own manual, I could easily figure out how to operate it. When I studied the manual, I discovered that it could do much more than I had imagined. I was elated to learn that I could use it to accomplish many routine tasks. Then, I remembered that my experience with the Word of God is quite similar. You see, there's so much in the Bible we haven't discovered yet. It is the "manual for life" and until you take out time to study it for yourself you may not appreciate the wealth of life-giving information it contains, just as I didn't appreciate all the functions of my special device until I read its manual. God has given you the Bible, and it's the manual for life. You shouldn't be selective of the days or situations where it's applicable. You need to understand that the Bible is relevant to your everyday life. As you study, you'll discover that by the stripes of Jesus you were healed, and that He has given you everything that relates to life and godliness. Then you go through life full of confidence. Such confidence that can only come through diligent study of the manual for life.

Confession

Dear Father, your Word is my life and light and by it I find my way through life. I rejoice at your Word as one that finds great spoil for it is my manual for a victorious life, in Jesus' Name. Amen. FOR
